Forest School at Old-Lands

Catherine Pawson runs a Forest School on the estate, including a “Garden School” where children can play a part in growing and harvesting fruit and vegetables. Forest School sessions are open to the children of holidaymakers on the estate as well as small groups of local children and schools. For those with children holidaying on the estate, parents can enjoy a lie-in while their children bounce about building dens, getting muddy.

Sessions are on Wednesdays & Thursdays and last 3 hours, from 9.30am or from 1.30pm, and cost £25 per child, with a family discount for siblings. Activities happen in all weathers, exploring the wilds, playing games, creating and crafting from natural materials, building fires, dens and making campfire food. There is an outdoor covered area in the archway under the clock tower for times when the weather really does beat them back.
